How to create 3D accessories from 2D pieces of paper??
Here is the making movie of washi paper accessories.
There are many processes to create each accessory. This is a little part of it but I hope you enjoy!
It's almost the same way to create silk tower with fabrics but because its stiffness, some processes were harder than fabric and some were easier.
These special washi paper can create very detailed shape and keep it's 3D shape because of it's stiffness and softness when it's heated.
It was just so fun to manipulate!

布で花を創る過程を応用した手法ですが、紙独特の固さがハリのある立体感を生み出すのにとても役立ちました。
固めの和紙なのですが、特殊な素材ゆえに熱すると少し柔らかくなり、その特性のおかげで繊細且つ立体的な形を創る事ができ、それをキープする事ができます。
とにもかくにも非常に面白い素材でした。
